Tom Brady and Gisele Divorce
Marriage and Children
Tom and Gisele have been married for about 13 years. They have two (2) minor children together: Benjamin (age 14) and Vivian (age 9). Tom also has son Jack (age 15) from a prior relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
Why?
Rumors say it’s because of football. Tom Brady (“Greatest of all time”) doesn’t want to quit, and there are only a limited amount of hours in the day. Family takes great commitment! You cannot put a halt to growing children until you’re no longer at the top of the game.
Contentious or Amicable?
Not sure. This divorce has been coming for a long time. I suspect they will be grown-ups about it, though, so I doubt it will reach Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie level. (They are still fighting after 6 years, and she recently filed documents alleging that he choked a kid on the 2016 plane incident).
Prenuptial Agreement
Tom and Gisele have a rumored $650 million in assets. Both have sizeable estates coming into the marriage.
I bet they have a prenuptial agreement! (Especially since he’s been married before).
A prenuptial agreement can really help the distribution of assets. Keeping things clearly separate will avoid the need to divide those assets. A prenup that clearly states what is separate and what is community will lessen the work of expensive forensic accountants.
Expensive Divorce?
Not necessarily. The peanut gallery spectators want blood and war (it’s called schadenfreude), but I doubt it. Gisele and Tom seem like smart cookies. For the sake of their children, and themselves, they should mediate and move on!
Money Can’t Buy Love
I think people are obssessed with celebrity divorce because it’s insane to think that all that money (650 million!) and all that beauty and worldly perfection can’t guarantee love.
Well duh. Love is a fruit of the Spirit. It simply isn’t a human fruit.
Remember, money can’t buy you love…or jurisdiction.
