Detransition Regret
But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 1 Corinthians 12:18
Gender affirming care for children is consensus based, not evidence based.
Puberty blockers and sex hormones do NOT have U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for children’s gender care.
Very little is known about the long-term effects of drugs. Even the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (who one would assume would push transitions!) has admitted that the overwhelming majority of children will naturally resolve their gender dysphoria as they mature.
That’s why the countries that have led the cause in ‘gender affirming care’ (Sweden, England, Denmark, and Finland) are changing their stance, and now prohibiting ‘gender transition’ procedures and instead protecting children from medical procedure which ruin their lives.
Why is it happening so much? Follow the money.

Recently, the 6th Circuit has gone the same direction as the countries listed above, and upheld laws prohibiting gender transition procedures for children.

What is Gender Affirming Care?
The World Health Organization defines gender affirming care as encompassing a range of social, psychological, behavioral, and medical interventions “designed to support and affirm an individual’s gender identity” when it conflicts with the gender they were assigned at birth.
Detransition Regret
In my research, I came across an excellent 4-part Reuters Investigates: Youth in Transition
Part 1: A Dearth of Science: As more transgender children line up at gender clinics, families confront many unknowns.
Part 2: The Social Element: A gender imbalance emerges among trans teens seeking treatment.
Part 3: Lost in Limbo: England’s trans teens, lost in limbo, face mounting barriers to care.
Part 4: The matter of regret: Why detransitioners are crucial to the science of gender care. Part 4 was written by Dr. Kinnon MacKinnon, a 37-year-old transgender man and assistant professor of social work at Toronto’s York University. Dr. Mackinnon used to think regret among detransitioners was a nonissue. Then he started interviewing detransitioners, and what he heard changed his mind.
Mackinnon says,
“There’s a real need for more long-term studies that track patients for five years or longer,” “Many detransitioners talk about feeling good during the first few years of their transition. After that, they may experience regret.”
We cannot carry on in this field that involves permanently changing young people’s bodies if we don’t fully understand what we’re doing and learn from those we fail.
Dr Laura Edwards-Leeper, clinical psychologist and co-author of WPATH treatment guidelines for adolescents states:
“We cannot carry on in this field that involves permanently changing young people’s bodies if we don’t fully understand what we’re doing and learn from those we fail.”
Gender Detransition Lawsuits
There are currently five gender detransition lawsuits, all filed by minors.
Prayer
Heavenly father, please cover these victims with your protection. Please give them strength to seek truth, to stand firm despite the attacks. Please also protect those those in the LGBT community who are being attacked and suffering. Let them know that those who attack them are not from you.
Help everyone hear YOUR voice. Show them who YOU are. Protect them from the demonic attacks when they try to leave the lies. It is not by might, nor by power, but by the power of your Holy Spirit that can bring the truth, the way, and the life. I lift up the victims, the LGBT community, the attorneys, the doctors, the Judges, and all children. Please fill them with your light and love. In Jesus’ powerful name I pray, Amen!
