Courageous Whistleblowers Expose Texas Children’s Hospital Mutilation of Children
This week’s blog is about two courageous whistleblowers who stood up to protect children, and as a result, are being prosecuted by the government. Dr. Ethan Haim faces up to $250,000 in fines and 10 years in prison. Nurse Vanessa Sivadge was fired.

Texas Children’s Hospital Lied
On February 18. 2022, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released a legal opinion classifying transitioning children as child abuse under Texas law. Read Ken Paxton Legal Opinion February 2022.
On March 4, 2022, Texas Children’s Hospital issued a statement pledging to stop transitioning children with hormones and surgery.
The mission of Texas Children’s Hospital is to create a healthier future for all children, including transgender children, within the bounds of the law. After assessing the Attorney General’s and Governor’s actions, Texas Children’s Hospital paused hormone-related prescription therapies for gender-affirming services. This step was taken to safeguard our healthcare professionals and impacted families from potential criminal legal ramifications.
They said they stopped, but they lied.
Whistleblower documents prove Texas Children’s Hospital continued to medically and surgically transitioning children as young as age 11. In fact, they continued days after the release of their statement, and into 2022 and 2023.
In May 2023, Dr. Eithan Haim Anonymously Exposed Them
The first time I had heard about this was in an article written by Christopher Rufo: Sex-Change Procedures at Texas Children’s Hospital. There is an interview in this article: “They’re Wanting to Play God”.
Within days of that article, Texas Attorney General launched an investigation and immediately SB 14 was passed, banning gender transition on minors.
One Month Later, Revenge is Sought on Whistleblower
In June 2023 DOJ agents came knocking on Dr. Haim’s door a month after. They came to this man’s door to intimidate him. He refused to talk.
One year later. Dr. Haim is Indicted
In May 2024, the DOJ indicted Haim on four felony HIPAA violations, alleging Haim reactivated his Texas Children’s Hospital log-in credentials “under false pretenses” to access patient records. Click to read Eithan Haim Indictment.
Additionally, while the indictment acknowledges that Haim redacted patients’ names on documents, argues the “dates of service, diagnosis, procedure codes and physician names” are also HIPAA protected.
Haim allegedly broke the law, not to save children from mutilation, the filing implies, but to ruin the hospital’s reputation.
Eithan’s Testimony Corroborated by Nurse Vanessa Sivadge
Dr. Haim’s testimony is completely corroborated by Nurse Sivadge.
In July 2023, the FBI came to Sivadge’se house to intimidate her into staying silent. They questioned her about Haim.
“They weren’t armed,” she clarified. “They try to seem like they’re your friends, like they’re on your side. But when you’re in that position, you just realize the police state has been mobilized against law abiding citizens. As soon as they left, I told my husband, ‘We will never help them.’”
Sivadge Reveals Fraud at Texas Children’s Hospital
“There’s two kinds of fraud going on,” she explains.
Doctors at TCH both illegally offer “gender-affirming care” to patients enrolled in Medicaid programs and intentionally misdiagnose patients with hormone deficiencies to fool Medicaid into paying.
“They will misdiagnose a healthy boy as ‘estrogen deficient’ to get [opposite-sex hormones],” Sivadge reveals, “which is so egregiously, horrifically wrong.”
Fraud is Confirmed
In letters announcing the investigation to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), investigators alluded to reviewing specific instances of fraud at TCH:
We understand a TCH provider…appears to have fraudulently diagnosed a biologically female patient with testosterone deficiency and hypergonadism in order to obtain Medicaid approval for testosterone treatment that would otherwise be denied under Texas Medicaid regulations if prescribed for the purpose of gender transition.
UK Bans Puberty Blockers for Children
This week, the UK high court upheld a ban on puberty blockers for children. This decision protects children, and follows Dr. Hilary Cass’s comprehensive Review released in April 2024, which found a lack of evidence around efficacy of puberty blocking treatment for minors.
