The Law Is Good If Used Properly
“The system is broken!”
This is the number 1 complaint I hear about Family Law Courts.
I totally agree! The system IS broken, because families shouldn’t be using the system.
Families Shouldn’t Be IN the System
Wikipedia defines “family” this way: a group of people who, in most cases, live together. They share their money and food and are supposed to take care of one another. Its members are either genetically related (like brother and sister) or legally bound to each other, for example by marriage.
Families are suppose to live together, share their money and food and take care of each other.
Families are NOT suppose to be Court fighting each other and ruining each other.
The law was NEVER intended to interfere with family relations.
The laws governing child custody, support and property division are created by man. They are different in different states. For example, California has Community Property. New York does not.
Intact Families Don’t Need the Law
Intact families don’t need the law. There is no “parenting plan” or “child support”, or “division of property”.
Family law ONLY came into existence when divorce entered the picture.
Divorce is not a natural thing for families. Divorce is breaking the law of marriage.
Laws were created about “domestic violence” – to punish those who hurt people. If you inflict domestic violence, you lose custody.
But then people started lying about domestic violence, so laws had to be created to punish lying – see False Abuse Allegations and Consequences on Custody.
And so it goes on and on and on. Family court is broken humans using a broken system to break each other.
Crazy Family Law Stories
Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard: Fingers getting cut off by broken bottles? Human poop on bed?
Sherri Papini: Leaving children in daycare and faking kidnapping?
Brangelina? Neverending custody battle.
Sorry to say – none of these are the worst I’ve heard in family court.
Law is Good If Used Properly
In 1 Timothy 1, Apostle Paul tells us, “We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers…”
Apostle Paul, I couldn’t have said it better!
The law is good if only if one uses it properly. And, the law was not intended for the righteous but for lawbreakers.
Family Law Attorneys Should Strive to Properly Use the Law
There are many different ways to handle family law. If we all properly used the law, the system wouldn’t be so broken.
I have no idea how to solve the problems of family law court. So I can only do my part, and pray. See Peacemaker Lawyers.
Family Law Clients Should Use the Law for Good, Not for Evil
- In summary, don’t pay lawyers to use the law against each other. Try divorce mediation.
- God’s law is perfect law. Man’s law is flawed. “The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.” Psalms 19:7
